Wooden stands over the Mediterráneo, next to the Galúa hotel

El Mirador del Galúa, also called Plaza del Mar, is a set of viewpoints and pedestrian walkways next to the Galúa hotel, at exit 30 of the Gran Vía of La Manga del Mar Menor, at km 3. It faces the Mediterráneo head-on, between Galúa beach and Monteblanco beach.

A recent viewpoint

It opened in the summer of 2020, with wooden stands and natural stone steps leading down towards the coast. In 2025 the Ayuntamiento de Cartagena awarded the contract to replace the metal railings, rusted by the salt air, with treated wood ones.

What you can see

From the stands you can see the Mediterráneo and, on clear days, the outline of Isla Grosa.

Getting here

It is reached on foot from Plaza Bohemia, a short walk. It is a free stop, open at any time, that combines well with the Mirador de Monteblanco, a few minutes' walk away. For more stops, see what to see in La Manga.
