Fine sand at the start of the Gran Vía

Playa Galúa is a beach on the Mediterranean side of La Manga, around km 2,5 of the Gran Vía, with fine sand. It runs from the Gola de Marchamalo to Punta de la Raja, about 1.200 metres. According to Cartagena City Council it is accessible: it has ramps, walkways, adapted toilets and changing rooms, two reserved parking spaces and a chair on loan for bathing, with a companion.

Surfing

When there are waves, the stretch next to the Galúa hotel is the one surfers choose. Some days there are currents and a red flag, so check the sea conditions before going in.

Services

There are lifeguards from 11 to 20 h from 16 June to 31 August, and until 19 h from 1 to 17 September. According to the City Council it has sunbeds and umbrellas, foot showers, bars, restaurants and beach bars.
