Mirador de Punta Negra

El Mirador de Punta Negra is a natural balcony in the Calblanque Regional Park, in the municipality of Cartagena, near Cabo de Palos. It is on the stretch of the GR-92 trail that links the Mirador de Punta Negra with Playa Larga: 3,4 km, about 50 minutes one way, easy, with some stretches that can flood, according to Turismo Región de Murcia.

What you can see from the top

The panorama takes in a good part of the park:

• the coves of Los Déntoles, del Magre and Arturo
• the Calblanque plain
• the open Mediterráneo

What you pass along the way

Along the walk you pass a large fossilised dune and the Salinas del Rasall, where you can see waterbirds such as the black-winged stilt and the shelduck. The route has a birdwatching point so you can watch them without disturbing them.
